Xfire login issues

Hey,
I have run into a problem with he latest version of xfire and that it doesn't let me login(it just times out or looses connection). I have already pulled this up on the xfire forums but i think it is something more involved.
I couldn't ping cs.xfire.com and then when i tried to do a tracert it did about 5 routers before timing out. Do you thing PN has gone and banned connections to xfire? Can anyone with PN internet login to xfire and this is only a problem to me? Also if it is a routing problem is there any way I can force a route to the xfire servers?
Thanks for any help, (I really cannot live without xfire!!!)

You can't ping cs.xfire.com as it blocks ICMP's, it's hosted in USA so guessing weekend speed issues there.

Thing is i have never had this problem before and also all my friends can connect. It sounds a bit like a routing issue but i am no expert. i'll just keep looking at the xfire forums.
