XBox one streaming to PC via plusnet hub

Hi,

Im having issues trying to stream my XBox one to my Windows 10 PC.

The XB1 is wired to the hub, and the PC is connected via wifi. SIgnal quality is good, and an external speedtest shows that theres plenty of bandwidth between the PC and the hub - I get 40mbps speeds.

But whenever I try and stream a game after maybe 30s the connection is lost. Running the streaming test from the XBox app says that streaming is impossible, even at lowest settings.

Any ideas?

I think that may be a windows 10 or xbox app issue, mine did the same thing the other day and I'm with BT with a Home Hub 6 everything using CAT5E STP cable.

Re: XBox one streaming to PC via plusnet hub

for the streaming to work you really need a wired connection, but having said that the anniversary update last week caused a lot of problems with pc's so its possible your issue is related to some conflict in device manager on your pc, I ended up uninstalling the anniversary update and am currently hopoing Microsoft wil lfix the problem so I don't need to replace my SSD, what with it still having plenty of life left in it

just because your paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you
