XBOX LIVE NAT settings

1. Unable to host xbox game, due to NAT settings. Followed 'http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Thomson-Alcatel/SpeedTouch585/Call_of_Duty_-_Black_Ops.htm' which didn't seem to work. I am able to join a game
2. Additionally when downloading content on the console, it is taking a considerably long time to download.
Any suggestions for the above?

Re: XBOX LIVE NAT settings

Thanks for the reply Steve.
1. The link to issue 1 does not seem to work. Assuming the link worked for you, does the link only apply to Call of Duty Black Ops? You mentioned putting Xbox in DMZ? How is this done?
2. Isn't there a way around downloading post midnight? Previous ISPs did not have this problem

Re: XBOX LIVE NAT settings

1. http://www.speedtouch.net.nz/500PublicIPpassthrough_R4.3.htm different router but should be pretty much the same, look in devices and assign public IP to lan device in devices.
2. A sore subject  Smiley A lot of console gamers are not happy bunnies regarding this. Console downloads are not prioritised in the same way as gaming traffic as they are downloads and not strictly gaming traffic. I guess if enough people make enough fuss about it PN will have to look at it again.
