WoW Short Freeze Periods

I recently moved into a house where plusnet is the main broadband supplier and since
doing so I have noticed short 2-5 second freezes while playing World of Warcraft.
My connection to the router is excellent and my latency in the game is fine yet I still seem to
get these short freeze periods! I have also being trying every suggestion possible that I have found on the WoW technical forums and still no luck!
So I was wondering if anyone could possibly help me or suggestion anything which may help?
I now have the below Tracerts which show something is not quite right with my plusnet connection:

Re: WoW Short Freeze Periods

Using a wireless connection with a 2wire BT1801HG router? If so I think you have found your problem.
I have the same problem when playing via a wireless connection using a the Plusnet supplied 2wire BT1801HG router.  When I use a wired connection I have no problems.

Re: WoW Short Freeze Periods

I had a similar problem, but it seemed to be OS related rather than hardware or the broadband connection. My XP install on one the HD's would do this, but my Vista on another would be fine.
The XP install had a fair few programs on, while the Vista one was fairly clean.
No idea what might have been the problem, but I guess defragging the drive and keeping the graphics card drivers up-to-date will help.
Doesn't explain why it started happening when you moved I know, if there are any other PCs in the house then it would be worth trying it on there.

Welcome to PN.
It is possible the slow reposnse from ptn-ag2 is a problem, but a tracert is not 100% definitive, the request timed out messages are normal.
Can you log into your router and tell us what you current SNR or Noise Margin value is, this is a property of your ADSL connection ... if this is low and in the range 2-3dB this can indicate noise is on your line and affecting it, so you get some small periods of time where there is large data loss on the ADSL connection. If the value is 6 or greater, then this should not be the problem.
