What the hell is up with my speed and ping tonight?

Speed is like 2meg less than normal and my ping in counterstrike is nearly 100. When its normally a stable 30.

Have you managed to run a BT Speedtest? http://www.speedtester.bt.com
Can you show us a traceroute to say bbc.co.uk?

I went and played some Guild Wars with my boss. He is on Plusnet Pro as well and said he was getting poo pings.
After about 30mins of playing (about 40mins after my post) the pings went back to a normal level. My boss thought there were upgrades being carried out.
If it happens again ill get some screen captures
