Re: What movement keys do you use?

RtCW is probably where I started using the controls, but I play Americas Army which has so many commands if you want to make life easy. Just need to get a mouse with more than 2 buttons now Cheesy

Well it's the arrows for me in World Of Warcraft (only game I'm playing at the minute), and the the numbers for short-cuts to spells.

I think that was before I got my Electron, but I had quite a lot of electron user mags. I eventually subscribed so I could get the cassette and save on the frustration of typing in gobbledygook for hours just for it to fail because I keyed a semi colon in instead of a colon.
It's hard to imagine a computer with 32k RAM now.

Those were the days, remember on my Commodore 64 saying getting a Data statement wrong and making the computer crash, before I backed it up onto tape.
Even after backing it up to tape, you'd never be quite sure if it would load in again, so would save it to a couple just in case. Then if you didn't record it at the start of the tape, you'd have to make sure you used the counter to get the approximate position so you wouldn't overwrite something else.
Anyone remember Input magazine? I actually did start to do the first couple of sections of their Cliffhanger game and some bits were working, I wonder what the full product was like?
Anyway sorry getting a bit off-topic, but I'm still referring to games though Smiley

Re: What movement keys do you use?

Doesn't matter what movement keys Bob uses, he inevitably ends up banging his head on the keyboard after he's dead 8 seconds into the round.

/shoots and misses Grin
On the topic of retro-computing I reckon I've still got my Commodore 64 and a shed load of tapes up in the loft somewhere.
You'll also see me popping in here from time to time when I'm feeling a bit nostalgic! Wink
