Ventrilo ping issues

Ventrilo lags after 6pm my ping in ventrilo shoots up to 200-400 sometimes 4,000. I checked my internet the speed's fine about 6.1meg upload is fine also. Pings are stable from 12am until 4pm usually.My router is a Linksys wag160n.

i use vent/ TS3  every night and have no probs cant be them some thing else is your problem

made some system changes on my end, removed software firewalls, upnp is off but upnp is iffy anyway.. Router firewall is on.. would upnp being off cause any issues to my connections? I don't really want to have it turned on...

Try running a trace to the vent server ip, see if there are issues with the host or if its the routing too the server.

Well i did 2 tracerts last night 1 during the lag and one when there was no lag, the last 5-6 hops had pings of 100+ during the lag but when the lag cleared the hops were only on 30-50 ping. I don't have the records to post here at the moment i'll try get them again next time the lag occurs and post.

Issue resolved, PC issues re-install sorted it sorry to bother you guys.
