Re: Turtle beach headphones

Not sure about specific models but I'd guess any of the wireless 7.1 ones would be the best they do... hope that helps?

Re: Turtle beach headphones

I bought the Son a pair similar to these (could have been the same) and he was very happy with them.
I had a try and the spacial sound was amazing.

Re: Turtle beach headphones

If you're wanting the best, then i wouldn't go with Turtle Beach. They're good, but are kind of like the apple "i" gadgets, in that they are the brand that everyone has heard of, but don't provide the best quality in all areas.
The astro A40 are apparently amazing though.
Either way, read a few reviews to see what people say that actually own them, as i don't have headphones, but instead have 5.1 channel surround sound.

Re: Turtle beach headphones

this ones seem to be the best turtle beach have, on sale £137 seems a fair price, when u go into game or game station your just getting the normal pair for like £120 so the xp500's seem to be the best turtle beach do.
see here if your interested

Re: Turtle beach headphones

Well, I have some of these currently: http://www.limexb360.co.uk/product/Sharkoon_X-TATIC_v3_5.1_Dolby_Digital_Headphones_SXVD
which I bought pretty much for the decoder box (will decode any optical input to 5.1 and has standard 3.5mm outputs as well as the dedicated headphone sockets which seem to be some kind of DIN plug, must get the pinouts for that) and I like them a lot.
Having said that though, now I know about them they'll be being replaced with whatever astro's are available when it happens. Those look superb. A mate has some of the wireless 5.1 turtle beach phones and while they sound pretty good they're a bit loose fitting for me.
I'd always go for genuine 5.1 or 7.1 though rather than USB and virtual surround, for various reasons.

I think my Tritton AX Pro's have given up on me, the rear speakers don't work and when the sub kicks in they rattle Sad
