Theme Hospital...

Alright ! So how many of you remember this one ??  Grin
an EPIC game, i personally grew up wasting many many hours on it (and other BullFrog games, like populous, Dungeon Keeper and Theme Park)
Shame its a 16 bit game really... well, not anymore =D

A Little project to redo all the backend code - and its opensource Smiley ...
Corsix TH - 32bit and 64bit compilations..
and the best thing? Beta 3 is out Tomorrow
Beta 2 had alot of functionality, but none of the levels had implementations (e.g. you started lvl 1 with all the rooms etc. unlocked, no research - and you could select the next level at any time)
well Beta 3 should add alot more to the Beta2 Smiley
check it out =D or am i the only one whos that crazy?  Crazy

Re: Theme Hospital...

What a game, and the music...oh the music! and the receptions random comments!! memories, good old Bullfrog!!!
I managed to acquire a copy of Theme Hospital that worked well with Windows XP, genuine port i think, I'll have to try this Corsix thing though, thanks Smiley
Problem is I use W7 64 bit now, doubt I could get anything like this to work!

Re: Theme Hospital...

It's possible to get theme hospital to work via dosbox, though you need the dos version.  Will check out the link though, I love that game!  Codemasters did a umm sequel type thing which I have somewhere that was sort of like TH but not as good, the company that made it went bust straight after so no patches were ever released.

Re: Theme Hospital...

Nice post.
I spent many hours doing this years back, there has not been anything of a late to match it. Theme Park to me is the best over modern similar games like Roller Coaster Tycoon and Theme Park World, "Oh how much I hated this game"
