Yes it's here, Officially voted by the only people that know whats right in the gaming industry.
The games are proposed by the developers and publishers and they enter them into categories and they are in turn voted on by BAFTA Games members (Who are they?! I don't remember being asked to join :-X) and 200 industry experts as well. After that category specific judges decided from the highest voted games, which ones should win.
You know how it's decided now you can peruse the results.

A lot there I could disagree with. Sid Meiers latest installment being one of them, since it felt like a step back in the series to me.
Where is Fallout 3 in the action/adventure nominees since fable got entered.
All Spore technically achieved was absolute failure of a great idea.

The other is Golden Joystick Awards, both are plastered with Online Retail shop sponsership so guessing they get there short lists from the sales figures. But I never do trust the results, guessing biggest PR/backhander budget wins

seems quite a good list. i really do need to give boom blox another try... just sits on the shelf feeling unloved...
