This has been a problem for a while in TF2, I suspect caused by the game itself but I thought I'd see if anyone else is experiencing similar issues. Before the latest patch that introduced multicore support I used to get constant, very high choke effectively making the game 'stutter'. Changing my rates didn't seem to make much difference. Now with multicore support net_graph is reporting no choke, but I'm still suffering from this problem.
I have cl_updaterate and cl_cmdrate set to 66 and my fps never dips below 66. Specs are: E8400, 4gigs of ram and a 4870.
