Steam problems today?

Expecting a game update today and the client is reporting:
Error Code: -118 Unable to connect to server. Server may be offline or you may not be connected to the internet.
when trying to get the news page for any game.  It was working earlier when I left it running to update while I was out and now its not, so anyone else?

no problem here but it was a bit slow to connect to my account

Seems it was the demand for borderlands 2 update, finally downloading it now

When are they going to define BL2  on the list of games, and teamspeak 3 as a voice app , as they are not on the list is the traffic being prioritised correctly for these and other games that are not on the defined games list ?

I suspect they are detected fine and just not on the list.  Are you experiencing issues with them?

Not with BL2 (Steam) or Teamspeak 3  but there can be issues with an older game Tom clancy's rainbow six Vegas 2  sometimes there certainly would be during 8pm to 12am on the past 2 nights  last night the latency to the server  had doubled  during this time frame, I think i mentioned something  about it in my ticket

Hmm.  Need that wireshark really to have a good look.  Can upload it to a dropbox or something similar?

It doesn't look like there enough data on the third capture for us to see what's happening.  Can you do another wireshark of Vegas 2, from before starting the game for a minute of gameplay for us?

That's what i did set wireshark running first and then started up the game logged in and did a seach for games in the lobby  then i created/hosted a game for around a minute so not sure why there isnt enough , but i will rinse and repeat to see if there's more data this time

Weird.  There didn't seem to be much traffic in the wireshark for the game.  Try again anyway, and lets see what we get.
