Guys, a warning to some people trying to get a refund from http://www.simplyelectronics.net , after i did a little research about the turtle beach XP400 gaming headsets, they wont be released here officially till mid may but SimplyElectronics.net are selling them just now and a little birdie told me these XP400 from SimplyElectronics.net are grey imports and that Turtle Beach are investigating them as this isn't allowed apparently, anyway back to my initial point, i ordered these on the 20th of march i cancelled the order about 2 hours later, guess what, im still waiting on a refund of £149.95!!! i have sent about 4 emails and about 5 phone calls, all been saying the same, "please be patient Mr Moncrieffe, our representatives are trying to chase this up for you, if your refund isn't in your account in 7 days please contact us again"
im about to go mad with this, i actually feel i am not getting the money back, is there anyone i can call to take this further??

Trading Standards would probably be favourite, although I don't know if a local Trading Standards Office can hep with an on-line sale. No harm in asking, though.

Not applicable

I doubt if trading standards can do anything about foreign websites with no UK premises.

Did you pay by credit card?
Given the amount, I think you may be able to pursue it under the Consumer Credit Act. Basically, as I understand it, you can claim the money back from your card company. I assume that applies to foreign transactions too.
Doesn't apply to debit cards, so is worth having a credit card just for that really.

Sad to say but if you buy online always google the seller if you don't know them, same issue from a few sources dating back to 2008 with the same site

You could look at the possibility of contacting your bank and asking for a 'Charge Back'.
More information can be found regarding this <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chargeback">here</a>
Hope this helps
