Plusnet+BF3 = Good Choice?

Hi All,
Been looking a bit on the forums and would like to know, How are Plusnet with regards to online games and especially on BF3? Been hearing they are great but I believe it's hear'say more then anything else to be honest.
My current ISP VM, are throttling my connection, from 10MB Down/1MB Up to 1.25MB down and 0.25MB up, with pings in excess of 3000, this is from 6PM to 12AM, My area is being utulised  because of lack of hardware as simply they cannot cope with the demands of the customers.
My broadband connection is being activated with Plusnet today, so I am awaiting an e-mail, all fingers crossed it will be today.
Would anyone give me an idea of of average ping times, or Plusnet already utilise the connection once they see your playing a particular game?
Regards,

Kamil.

Re: Plusnet+BF3 = Good Choice?

Ive only been with PN for a week or so but finding my pings to all games including BF3 are excellent.
Im on the Unlimited Fibre package.
Pings so far have been as low as 6-11 and only very rarely as high as 35 assuming im connecting to a UK or western EU server

Some people have said that pings are too low and they are falling victim to over zealous lag compensation.

Hit detection and ping is wondeful, 0.38 upload though, 12 MB download, not bothered about download speed as I don't download much.
Any way of getting upload speeds higher?

Re: Plusnet+BF3 = Good Choice?

If you're a new customer your upload rate will likely be capped. You have to contact support (or try posting in the Broadband & Routers section), and request that the cap is lifted. It won't guarantee better performance, however (don't I know it), and may make things worse.

Re: Plusnet+BF3 = Good Choice?

yes very low ping. I get 10-15ms ping to UK server and below 30 to most EU servers too.
