Hi, I just got Plusnet last night with standard Thompson router. All is working fine but: I connected the PS3 and am able to connect to PSN. However when I test the connection everything seems right, Nat type 2 etc, but the speed calibration fails and I get the error message 80029020. Weirdly though I was able to connect to friends playing Dead Island last night but it froze quite quickly, I have just done the standard set up so far, because I don't really know what I am doing! Any advice would be appreciated.
Welcome to the forum stratattack. What's your internet like generally, do a BT Speedtest and post the results. Do you have uPNP enabled on the router and PS3?

Thanks Strat. I mucked about with router settings last night, assigned a static address, attempted to put in DMZ etc. I had no luck so returned the settings to normal and it worked! I'm not really sure why but i am very happy. The connection is strong and constant so very pleased with plusnet at the moment. See you online some time
