It's simple for us to flip people.  Pressing a couple of buttons and then rebooting the router

Please let us know how it is though when you get chance.   I'd love to prove it asap though! (but don't ruin your day!)

Right I will leave in 30 minutes, it just depends if I can find my external HD now to copy the install over 
Don't fancy downloading it, as it is a bit of a monster to do.

Glad they're on Fibre now anyway, with our old 1Mb ADSL connection you'd have no chance

Hi i changed my Ip to static a few days ago and since doing so have lost connection a few times twice today last time 10 mins ago its never happened before just since i changed to static was wondering in changing has caused the problem  thanks

Hi, adding a static shouldn't affect the stability of your line.  Let us know if it continues though!

I'll try it tomorrow now, I hadn't started it up for a while and didn't realise there was a patch of around 18Gb for the next expansion, Luckily I have fast internet where I am.

Got a bit carried away and was playing it for a few hours, So running out of time today.

Provided I just copy the install across and don't play it I'll be fine

@Lucyboid just helped me with a test which appeared to be much better now, but the issue was intermittent so we could do with some more tests.

I'm not 100% sure if I'll be around tomorrow, may be meeting a friend. If I am available I will let you know. Won't find out until tomorrow morning.

How is the best way to test this? Would creating a test character on the same realm (i.e. server of course) make any difference so we can all mess around being level 1's again

It seems from this thread the majority of the issues are around zone transfers and logging in?  I.e. taking flights, starting instances etc.

That was certainly the case for me - to update I've not had this problem since switching to static IP.
