Seen one of these for £45 - the 256mb model, does anyone think this is a good card worth the money?
thanks

Re: Nvidia GeForce GT 8500

depends what u want to do with the card, if your thinking high quality gaming then i wouldnt get my hopes up.
I recently built a machine with a 8600gts which wasnt that impressive but it did handle crysis pretty well on medium settings.

Re: Nvidia GeForce GT 8500

Those new 8800GT cards look very nice and are the only card at the moment thats tempting me to upgrade from my 7950gt. Ive seen some around 160 quid which is very well priced if u ask me. It out performs more expensive models too Smiley

Re: Nvidia GeForce GT 8500

i know exactly what your saying  Wink thats why im 50/50 about an upgrade, 160 quid is alot of cash if your not gunna make use of it. If you just want somthing that will run latest games pretty well then go for a 8600GTs, you can get em for around 70-80 quid new now.

Re: Nvidia GeForce GT 8500

In the end i settled for a GeForce 7300 LE - it's running on 256mb and i can boost it upto 512 if needed using RAM - cost me £10
sorted - thanks for all your advice Smiley
