New Plusnet Customer, Cant connect with friends in PS3 COD5?

Hi, I am a new customer, never had problems before but since connecting the thompson router and I use wired connection ethernet, I cant connect with friends? PLease Please any help
is much appreciated, this is why i switched as i believed it to be better for online gaming?

it will be the thompson router that is most likely at fault not PN's network.
can u confirm what status your nat is on the ps3 when using the thompson router and if at all possable use your old router with PN's settings and see if you still have the problem.

i belive nat2 is right for the ps3?  if adiewoo's about he should confirm this.
have u set up up port forwarding rules?
most people on here use DMZ for the ps3's. 
if you log into the router and give the ps3 a static ip address then add that ip address to the DMZ option. this will insure all ports are open to the ps3 rulein any closed ports being the problem

Thanks, this is much appreciated, I would not be happy if i could not play cod with my friends.
Is there a little guide anywhere that i can work off, as i have not attempted this before although i am computer savy.

NAT 3 = Restricted voice communication and other features
NAT 2 = Correct ports fowarded for your PS3 or it's DMZ'd
NAT 1 = No router, it goes straight through the modem (normally)
So nat2 is fine.

still worth dmz'ing the ps3's ip address as we all know how ps3 games like to use a random port to keep you guys on your toes

Cant seem to find out how to DMZ the router for the PS3 , might just resort to phoning plusnet up and asking them in the morning.

Firstly thanks for all youre help guys, much appreciated. Unfortunately I cant find an answer and nor can anyone,
Seems like everyone is having hassle with this router , this does seem confusing to me
as i went with plusnetpro specifically because it was designed for gamers, yet they send out a shitty router that no one can understand and many are having problems with.
Answer = sell the scrap.
Anyone give me advice as to what router is best for gaming.

i use netgear dg834g v4 and not had a problem.
dmz is easy to setup a kid could do it
plus its fully compatable with routerstats and dmt to monitor your line

I'd go with either the dg834g v4 or gt - do not get the 834pn your won't be able to use your wireless controllers.
