My Last logitech MX518 mouse died today

Of the 5 I bought years ago when they were cheap, my last ones scroll wheel decided to let go finally after many years of service and now the dreaded hunt for a replacement.

Having had a look at some utube reviews about the size etc, going with the G403 first from Aria. It's almost the same shape and length as the MX518 just has less buttons and no thumb rest.  Its mainly the rounded shape and the thumb buttons I want, not those gawd awful sharp edge copies of super cars that Logitech seem to want us to buy

Re: My Last logitech MX518 mouse died today

the g502 and g500s are both decent replacements for the mx518 if you cant find another one on sale...

ive been using the g500s for 18 months since my old mx died on me and its basically the same device when your using it

most of the "open deck" mice dont actually feel bad in the hand they just look ugly and are a mare to keep clean....

just because your paranoid doesn't mean they aren't out to get you

Logitech M705 Wireless Mouse which fitted my hand

Re: My Last logitech MX518 mouse died today

So far so good the G403 is almost same size.  Only issues I have with it is that the thumb buttons are a little further back than the MX518 so going to take time to get used to the placement and the loss of 2 of the top buttons which I use in some games.

Other wise its the MX518 with a few more setup options and the go faster led's.  Going to give it a month then maybe do the same and watch for them on sale and buy them up

Re: My Last logitech MX518 mouse died today

So after another days gaming an annoyance has surfaced, miss clicks are way too easy with the M1/2 and the thumb buttons.   I am having to force my self to hover over them as they are just too sensitive to cover as i would normally with light pressure.

Re: My Last logitech MX518 mouse died today

I won't be buying another g403, second issue is I am building up a callus on my fore finger due to the surface of the wheel, its just too rough for constant use, really needs to be a smooth surface

Re: My Last logitech MX518 mouse died today

Absolutely loved the Mx518, had a few of them, my manager uses a wireless Mx Master and swears blind by it.

I moved over to a Steelseries Sensei back in my more heavy gaming days and didn't look back, it's such a smooth mouse with 4 side buttons so covers what i need it for. Not sure of current pricing but definitely one I'd suggest taking a look at

also where are all my Mechanical Keyboard fans at? surely there's some love for more than mice

@Gus Im using the G403 now it feels fine too me, the wheel is alittle rough but its not too bad maybe your have too soft and gentle hands Tongue
