Minecraft - setting up a server?

Hello folks,
My son is pestering me to set a Minecraft server, but I don't want to run it on my PC because a) it's not a static IP b) it's not always on. Can I set one up somehow using my F9 account, e.g. upload necessary files, telnet in, etc?
I searched the forums but couldn't find any instructions on how to do it...

Hi there,
I'm afraid the webspace isn't really suitable to run gaming servers from I'm afraid. If you wanted to do something like that you'd be better off talking to a host that specialises in that kind of thing.
