Microsoft games

I have just bought a new laptop with Windows 7 to replace an older model with Windows XP.  However, I have discovered that my favourite games like spider solitaire and hearts are not now included.  As a pensioner, I enjoy these simple games.  I have found games that can be played online and others that have to be paid for and a few sites that claim to offer a free download but attempt to download other programs as well.  Does anyone know if it is possible to download these games from a safe and reliable source?

Re: Microsoft games

Get to the Control Panel and in it find Programs and Features, double click that then on the top left of the window that opens, there should be an option to Turn windows Features on/off.  Click that and find the games section and add a tick to the ones you want.  Most of them aren't installed by default.

Re: Microsoft games

Thanks Gus.  I've done as you recommended and have found the "missing" games and can now play my favourites.
