Bascially, last night, the PS3 was on when the red block is not visible, ie. continuously between 10pm and 1am. I have changed the setting on the firewall of the router to allow pings from WAN which was disabled until about 9am this morning hence now getting a clearer picture. Also, at 9am this morning, I played the game for approximately 30 mins which can be seen with the odd spike in latency.
In terms of last night, I was the party host. I played numerous games before the dreaded 12:10am deadline, and experienced no lag. As soon as 12:10am arrived, the lag started and continued on until I turned the PS3 off at just prior to 1am. The lag last night was extremely bad causing me to walk into walls and lose lives had over fist. Earlier in the evening, I had obtained a kill to death ratio of about 2.5, but after midnight I was lucky to get evens.
As far as I am aware, there were no other devices using the network during those hours other than perhaps me using my phone in between games to check on the graph, facebook, twitter etc.
Oddly though, I did use the internet on my phone up until about 2am which is not showing up at all!!
Should I start by disabling the DMZ?
