Seem to be getting real bad lag spikes in games the past few days. Kinda like loss or choke as itd be a steam game. Anyone else getting the same or any ideas what it would be?
During any particular time of day? Has anything changed with your setup. Have you considered turning off interleaving if you havn't already? I have no experience with games from steam but someone else might know more. There is some program that will monitor your connection for changes in line quality during the course of a day.
Havent changed anything, and its usually in the evening which means prolly throttling maybe? cuz ig et slow web page loading then aswell but thats a diffrent matter. Any time i do speedtests, i do 3 or 4 every few mins and my speeds are so up and down, sometimes 6,5,4,3,2 etc lol And interleaving was thinking about it but doesnt it make your connection unstable?
Would it just lower my ping or do anything else? its like right now its taking me a few mins to connect to a ventrilo server :S and ive tried a few diff ones so it cant be the host. Is that throttling or? just weird. Just to edit: and whats confusing is my speed is damn near 6mb, so i dont get how its taking my years to connect to a ventrilo serevr right now, started around 3, went out came back and its the same now.
I have been awful problems on Fifa 09 on the PS3 for the past few days, clubs is unplayable with a 5-6 second delay in controlling my player, I am on unlimited I have unlocked all the required ports and I still have issues. Anyone any ideas on what I can try and do, its driving me nuts.
