Just joined Plusnet

Hi im on the Pro package for gaming. I play counter strike 1.6 i used to be on plus net years ago(2005) with pings of 20 - 35.
Im now getting pings from 50 - 70 is this normal? Has this got something to do with this interleaving thing?

I turned interleaving off after the 10 day training period and get pings between 20-35 on CS1.6.
I think my ping was about 50 before I switched it off.

What does the interleaving do? and how do I turn it off..
When i run cmd ping -t tests or tracerts I get around a 20-50 ms ping, but ingame on MW2 im normally 3 bar not 4..

interleaving is a form of error connection to give you a more stable conenction, however it adds latency thus raising pings.
You can raise a ticket to have it turned off.

turn interleaving off 100% but even with it off the pings i get now are never as low as they used to be with plusnet, u maybe the same or i duno but ye turn it off

on another note.. cs wtf, its nearly 2010 now! move on mate lol played that myself 1999-2006, cant even look at the thing anymore

Lol ive played it since back in the early beta's stopped about 06 myself just started up again now not keen on source that much.

i thought interleaving was off by default on new pro connections? 
i'm also a new pro user (few days in) and when i called support to check interleaving status the guy told me all pro users are automatically put on fastpath.

nope i dont think so.
what router do you have and we can point you where to look for the interleaving status of your line.
if your using the PN thomson 585v7 then follow this guide here http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,80792.msg659208.html#msg659208
even if it comes back as fastpath it could mean your on auto, so it still be helpful for one of the comms to double check this for you
worth noting the cs agents names when you have dealings with them so if you do get told complete wrong info that they should really know you can pass there names on to the forum comms team ie mand, so they can go inforce a wee bit of knowledge on them.

hey man, i got the telnet working on my PN thomson but the xdls info command listed nothing about channel type ect...just told me i'm on adsl2+, my speeds, noise, atten, then some info about error trapping over the last 24 hours and 15  mins.
