Is plusnet the worst Internet provider in the country

Wish I had read the reviews before signing to this rubbish company got this for gaming and it's completely unusable
Just thought of get that off my chest

is it because your using +net router? for gaming you cant get a worse router.best to buy a better router and change dns servers.think +net do have a few routing/traffic management problems but hopefully they will sort it soon if not gamers will find a better isp for gaming.

No just you expect more out of a free £38 router than it is capable of.  If its strictnat then its been covered numerous times on the forum how to fix.  Current games I play, Lotro / Warframe / Archeage / Defiance all with no issues, so no they aren't.

Yea the supplied router is fine for normal browsing\streaming\downloading but it does seem to fall over at gaming.  Having a few problems myself on the PS4 and buying an Asus router has seemed to have sorted it.

I fall into the same camp as Gus here, the router is a little on the cheap side but it's not struggled with anything I've thrown at it, the ping, down and upload speeds, and consistancy haven't been any different from my bt homehub 3 I used to use.

maybe it can handle pc games but console games hell no.multiplayer search slows down then you cant find  even 1 player.poor router

are you adsl or fibre? dont use bt hub for gaming,you will feel like you are 1 sec behind your opponent.and bt hubs dont respond to ping so multiplayer search will be slower and you wont get chosen as host

if you had fibre with bt then use bt hub.just enter your user and pass in router

Can't say I've noticed a problem with gaming on Plusnet, Mostly a PC gamer here, but we used to have someone living here who had an Xbox One and the only time I ever recall him moaning about the connection for gaming was when I rebooted the router for a firmware update and he was in the middle of a match... Whoops!

Never had an issue with BT home hub 3 or PN TG582n. But I don't touch consoles, only master race.
