Is Age of Conan being Traffic Managed Properly?

Rarely getting a ping of less than 5000 ms when playing Age of Conan today, whereas no-one else seems to be having any issues.

Just run a Wireshark profile and it looks like it isn't being managed correctly. Coming through as unclassified traffic I think.
When the portal is available I will send the wireshark file in a ticket.

I'm not having any problems on Ymir. What server you playing on?

Dagon server, but no-one else on server is having any issues, and wireshark is flagging the data as 0x40 traffic.
Ping is rarely below 5k, and goes as high as 9875 sometimes making it pretty much unplayable.

Guess you are right. Maybe Funcom have added more servers that Plusnet need to add to their Traffic Management System. Game does seem very popular

I've had the same problem, ran wireshark and got the same, that the ingame traffic is being classed 0x40 traffic.  I opened a ticket about it yesterday (ID: 25085340 ) so hopefully someones looking into it.

Hi,
We've had a couple of other tickets in regarding this. We had the game in the database while it was in the beta phase but looks like something has changed (the IP address range the game uses) since it was released so our existing signature isn't picking up all the traffic. We've got a change going through and will have this added as soon as we can.

Sooner rather than later would be great as we're currently in the Early Access part of the launch, that we had to pay an extra fee for, and of course its quite difficult to play at the moment during peak time.

I would guess that they'll be dealing with this at the worst before the end of play on Friday - the Networks guys don't work at weekends.
We may be pleasantly surprised and it may happen sooner though

I hope your joking, we've all paid to play early I for one don't accept loosing the WHOLE early play time to this, since game full release is Friday.    Get home from work, want to play abit 4000-9000 ping......not happy.

If you are unwilling to wait you could always change package to BBYW Pro or indeed try another Age of Conan server as it appears only some of the servers aren't correctly profiled.
