How do I make it so someone can connect to my game server

hi, I wanted to play a private game of doom skulltag with my friend I started the server up for the game, and it all seemed to load, I could my self connect but my friend could not I set the windows firewall to allow connections but nothing, any idea.

Did you forward any ports to allow them to connect?

I am not sure how do you do that is that in the windows firewall settings?

i think it runs on port 10666 so you'll need to configure your router to forward that port to the pc running the server.
