High pings in Team Fortress 2

Hello, is anyone else playing TF2 and getting high pings these days? I used to get 20-50 ping/latency on my fav UK servers - but since maybe 1 month or so when i look at the servers listed I never see one with a ping of less than 70 and usually there are only a couple of servs now with pings of 70-80/ Most are over 100?
Is it me or is anyone else experiencing the same?

hmm i played last night at 11 pm and ping was quite good at around 33 - so i guess that its mainly a high ping when trying to play at 6pm time when everyone else in online in the neighbourhood.

Hi Bod,
Was this just last night?  If so, yesterday was the fabled "Patch Tuesday" where Microsoft send out all their updates, so there would be more traffic on our network than usual.
I reckon that would probably be the reason that you saw higher latency.
