Hello plusnet, I have a question to Ask.. My brother recently purchased a Laptop.. he's on it regularly.. So thats causeing Terrible lag for me whilst playing Fifa 12, I'm wondering if theres Any solutions at all to make my Ps3 faster and his slower?, Thanks

unfortunately you will have to ask him to Disconect his laptop while you play

Is he downloading a lot?

If you've got the Pro add-on and he's downloading a lot then that's going to be causing the lag, Pro puts all traffic into the high priority queues so downloads and gaming will have similar priorities and therefore battle for the bandwidth available.

He's downloading nothing... He's just surfing the web..

There are a few routers available where you can defing 'QOS' (Prioritisation) for different connections / traffic, though these tend to be mainly the higher priced brands / models so it's potentially a big investment with no guarantee it will help.

My suggestion to you would be to ether put a net limiting program on his laptop and limit his speed to the lowest speed you get on a speed test or less(90%). Or do what I'm doing and use a second router with QoS and limit it in the same way but only connect your self to the main modem/router.
