Re: Good Gaming Connections ;)

Have you noticed an improvement across different gateways or could you have been on a particularly good one recently?

It must be the "1337" download speed giving it that little bit extra Wink

Re: Good Gaming Connections ;)

I haven't noticed much difference TBH, but then again I have binned BF3 and only play ARMA 3 and even though ARMA 3 is great, it's like ARMA, ARMA 2 and the original Op Flash, it doesn't tend to be a smooth game at the best of times. So I am not as bothered about my connection as much as I have been with the BF series.

Re: Good Gaming Connections ;)

I haven't been gaming for a few days, but up to that point, no, things have not been better. In fact, I had a worse spell.

Hi Blim,
I've taken a look over your connection and have seen quite a few bouts of disconnections;

Are these caused by you?

Re: Good Gaming Connections ;)

Yes, I bought a new router and installed it on the 6th and have been playing with it ever since. Unfortunately some settings require a restart and as it holds my pppoe connection that gets dropped.
That being sed, It rained the other day and my internet cut out. I swar its done that before and on the poll there is a connector on the main cable(running up the poll)  that has wires showing. Borken connector.

I was looking here: http://community.plus.net/ping-graphs/
And I couldnt help but notice that the day(s) that I didnt have any problems or very responsive, me and many others on PN didnt have any latency spikes on thoes days.
Could you elaborate more on that. What happend between the 6th and the 8th to make games feel more responsive?

Re: Good Gaming Connections ;)

There was nothing that changed during those dates.
Thats doesn't sound right with the wires showing, as this been looked at previously?

Re: Good Gaming Connections ;)

Never. There are 3 main lines so its a 1 in 3 chance I'm connected to the one with wires showing.

Re: Good Gaming Connections ;)

I can see that Chris Pettitt did quite a bit of extensive fault investigating on your line but no isues were found.
I can ge this raised to investigate what you've mentioned to see if this is affecting your connection.

Re: Good Gaming Connections ;)

Hi Blim,
It would also be good to know the times when you're seeing issues and when you're not, as you mentioned your gaming was fine between the 6th and 8th. Nothing had changed our side but we'd like to take a look at how your traffic is routed when you experience issues.
So ideally, the times and date when you have good gaming and also the times when you don't.
