General lagg/connection issues.

Hi,
I recently have been having quite a lot of issues with my internet connection on my xbox one.
I experience quite a large amount of lagg on a lot of games such as FIFA and other games such as Assassins  Creed Unity.
I also seem to have a large amount of issues with voice chat dropping out on my connection.
Just wondering if there is anything I can do to maybe make my connection a bit more solid?

I'm using a wired connection and have the Technicolour TG582n router supplied from plusnet.

If you're going to stick with the PN router, best advice is to put Xbox one in the dmz. Plenty of topics dealing with how to do that on this forum already.

What alternative router would you suggest?
How do I go about putting it in the DMZ?
