Gaming Week 2014

Hi all,
You might remember that last year we had the first ever Plusnet Gaming Week, where we had lots of content about different areas of gaming.
We're doing it again!
Starting tomorrow we'll be posting regular content for 7 days relating to all areas of gaming, from our favourite games through to how it impacts our network. There's also an opportunity to win a great prize that we'll reveal over on the Community blog tomorrow.
So keep your eyes peeled and I hope you enjoy the content we've produced.

Re: Gaming Week 2014

Main article of interest and insight was the increase in traffic across the plusnet network, as this is information you can't get from elsewhere.
Interested to hear though what Plusnet have done since last year to help gamers and deal with that increased traffic. For example are there dedicated gaming support staff, game connection testing etc...?
Also of importance for gamers is low ping and stable connection from house to server. Would be good to know what Plusnet and the industry can do to help improve this (especially since most companies just think about USA when designing online game experience).
Another helpful thing maybe a guide for end users to get the best out of their connection for gaming and what they can do to monitor it and spot issues (note the console market as well as pc).

Re: Gaming Week 2014

Interesting articles, particularly interesting was the increase in gaming traffic. It'd be fascinating to read up on how Plusnet keep traffic management systems up to date with the latest games.
Anyone going to enter the competition or will Plusnet be getting a ps4 to use for 'testing purposes'!  Wink
