BIG fan, 3x accounts
a word of warning though, unless you plan to play the game for a month or more its not worth it. in a month you can learn quite a few skills, get in one or two fancy ships (raven is the easiest of the battleships to train for) but any less than a month your not going to get much out of it. Missions are borring but a good way to start and learn the game mechanics and help later with invention and stuff. pvp is the big thing and its very good but massivly focused on teamwork, there are very few good soloist out there, mostly because theres only 2 or 3 ships out of the 100+ that could truly be used for solo pvp. there rest all need someone else in a supporting role of some kind.
check www.shadow-company.co.uk (PN hosted FTW) Theres many many fan made wesbites, ours is just one of them.
you might want to check these two links as well.

I'm looking for a new corp in 0.0 if anyone knows of a good one - so many to choose from, I can't decide.

0.0 rocks.
For the new starts mining is fastest way to make money.
If you going down the missioning route, might as well pick an R&D corp to work for:
- Core Complexions (Minmatar)
- Carthum Conglomerate (Amarr)
- Ishukone (Caldari)
- Duvolle Labs (Gallente)
There are several R&D corps for each race but that should get you started.
Core Complexions have a lot of agents (relatively speaking) offering Mechanical Engineering Datacores which are currently fetching a good price on the market, but this is falling fast.
If you can stand the incessant banter from them on the comms channels, Goonswarm is an easy way to get to 0.0
I am part of Enuma Elish Alliance in the Deep South, not for the faint hearted tho, we are basically starting from scratch out here - the logistics of getting stuff to and from here is nasty, do-able, but nasty.
The Great War has been put on hold for a while making things that little bit easier.
Welcome to the Madness!!!!
PS NEVER tell me to fly safe, I never have an never will

It'll take you a while to get the skills to go there though, mission running and mining is the best thing to do to start with.
Also Evemon is pretty handy for setting up your skill training queues - "how many days until that carrier skill?!!!"

Not necessarily, when it comes to fleet battles numbers tend to play a rather large psychological factor on whether or not u or enemy will actually engage. Plus even a noob in a frigate can provide an extra 3 mid slots to fleet/gang.
0.0 is all about teamwork, and with the right people skills are not a huge barrier.
0.0 aint as scary as alot of people make out, its quiet for the most part, but when things go nasty they really go nasty.
The one thing most important in 0.0 is to accept the fact that u are going to die at some point... probably at alot of points - but as long as ur having fun dying its all good.
Unless ofc u taking 0.75Bil worth of zydrine 40 jumps to empire in a hauler like a complete nutter and get ganked 3 jumps into the journey loosin everything - id never do anything like that... never

Dont join the goonies, they have a massive group (5000 now is it?) but they are also the joke of EVE as everyone else, even their allies, hate their antics. It dont mater what you say to them, be it polite, nice, respectful or nasty they will alwasy find a way to turn it back on you and insult you, just their way.
Join ANYONE else other than the goonies, really, anyone, is better than sinking that low. Theres a few nice ones but only about 5% and most of eve would agree.
mining and mission grinding is the way to go to get the ISK while you train.
one big tip, dont fly what you cant afford to lose and NEVER fly a hauler afk with anything nice in it, its not worth the risk, some mupet will blow you up for sure, even in "safe" space

Even after I stopped playing I kept the skills going and ended up at about 25million skill points by the time I let the account lapse. That probably doesn't amount to much these days but at the time I probably could have sold the account for a fair amount of money. Oh well, I still have the account and I might take up an offer from the newsletters one of these days.....
Hope it goes well for you Kelly, maybe I'll come and join you in space one day when I finally lose my battle against the urge to go back to it! (and when I finally get bored of WoW taking up all my time!)

The small Corp I'm playing with arranged a mining operation 2 nights ago. 9 of us (4 miners, 1 hauler and 3 attack craft) hopped out to a 0.5 area and mined 15million isk worth of minerals.
We had to fight off 3 large skirmishes while doing it. Was great fun!

roaming gangs of fast moving ships, some doing lots of damge, some using electronic warfare to stop an opsing gangs damge dealers doing stuff and then "tacklers" ships with equioment that stop you moving fast and stop you warping off to safty until the damage dealers get round to blowing them up.
its all about team work in pvp and in the mining side and in escorting freighters/hauers of assets.
25 mil SP is not to be sniffed at, thats enough SP to be specailesd in a number of ships. the highest sp now is about 73 i think but you can do a lot even with 6.
The thing to remember is that when someone says he has 56mil sp or what ever it means he or she has been playing since the time when every player had to be able to fly ships, build and mine all them selves as there wasnt as many people playing so they had to be self suficent and the market for buying was poor. Now, theres so many people playing and theres so many people in corporations you could leave out masses of industry or mining skills and never be worried as theres always someone else with those skills around to help you out, sell stuff or buy stuff from.
I have never played WoW, EVE was my first MMORPG and i have been playing for over 2 years now. I HIGHLY recomend it to all. The adrenaline of the PVP is great and ISK rewards from industry/mining can be huge.
Can you tell im a fan

Quote from: Kelly Well.. I paid my first subscription today...
Welcome to the club.
Been playing since late beta, and day 2 live.
Current highest SP is over 80m (Dr Caymus), so my 73m SP is not even in the top 10. Check out ineve.net for too much info.
Despite being a carebear, I have been blown up in 0.0 and low sec a few times, although not for a long while.
Like PVP, being a carebear manufacturer does require lots of team work to keep POS factories & labs etc running and defended.
Have fun out there!
