Connecting to Games (PC) drops my internet connection.

My internet connection is stable. However when I try to Open a game that has a server browser or connect to a game online my internet drops almost instantly.

When you say it drops can you be more specific
Does your router lose sync
Does it hold sync but loses the connection to internet
Does the router reboot
Does the router still stay connected properly but the PC loses the connection to the router

Re: Connecting to Games (PC) drops my internet connection.

Whenever I try to connect to either a server browser or a game itself my internet connection drops. The light on the router for internet goes out completely for about 30 seconds, broadband one stays on. Then it reconnects to the internet after about another 30 seconds. This happens everytime, but if I dont connect to a game, my internet is quite stable for downloads and streaming videos etc.

Which router?  Which games and do you use upnp for them or manually port foward?

Technicolor TG582n
All games cause this issue it would seem (BF3, dota2, wow included). All cause a disconnect from the internet whenever I connect to any sort of login or server list.
Using UPnP at the moment. Will try port forwarding shortly.

If manually port forwarding doesn't help I would ask plusnet for a replacement router, as that is not normal even if using upnp and could be signs of it dying.  I have the same router and never have had that issue with it, so you might have a bad one or its dying.
