Black ops 2 win the lag comp battle

I have won the lag comp battle but Jesus what a load of messing about
Firstly I was running PN fibre 80/20 Xbox live hard wired in theory
The best you can get , I also had pro add on and purchased
A good quality netgear router . However the lag comp killed
Me and this game was so frustrating for me going from 
1.7 kill death on previous titles to .89. Give me a break .
Here is what I have done to tackle it and fingers crossed
I have now been running smooth for 2 weeks
1 ). Do the static IP and dmz you see all over the Internet
      And port forward etc
2 ).  Get rid of pro add on
3 )    Down grade to 40 / 10
4 )    Disable any firewall on your router
5 )    Set maximum upload ( netgear router ) to 1 mb
6 ).    Go wireless.  Yes go wireless honest !
That's it basically go against everything you have done in
The past chasing that perfect connection. The above has worked
For me and I now enjoy the game again and working hard to
Get my kill death respectable
This situation is nothing to do with plus net who are always
Excellent  but will be losing money from some punters
Because of black ops 2

that wont guarantee you not hosting which is where the problem is.
ive tried capping the uplink speed on the router to 1mb and i still host 

also tried this on fifa and the gameplay just gets worse.
im trying to find out how to get a router that has more complex qos with tos values because the only way i think to combat lag comp is to prioritise the download quicker through the router and let the upload stay normal priority.
for the time being i think i will set my uplink speed to about 256kbs for cod.
i keep testing fifa but havent worked out how to stop opponenst having their slow players rocket past mine.
if all else fails i think a new isp is the only way
