Battlefield Heroes - Kicked for high pings

I'm being kicked by Punkbuster for high pings and getting massive lag spikes.
Could you please add this title to the list?

Re: Battlefield Heroes - Kicked for high pings

I thought it was already defined tbh. Have you Wireshark captured the traffic to confirm that it's not being picked up correctly? I'm a subscriber so I'll do some testing myself later if I get the chance...

Re: Battlefield Heroes - Kicked for high pings

Well I know they've been having problems since the update about 10 days ago, but as I didn't see it in the defined list I though I'd get it added, although if you say it's already done then the onus its on DICE to get it fixed.
I'll run a  Wireshark anyway Bob, just to check.
Edit: Your right it seems to be in the Gold traffic queue.
Differentiated Services Field: 0x80 (DSCP 0x20: Class Selector 4; ECN: 0x00)
I've tried all manner of fixes for it, but from what I've been reading the best way to fix this problem is to reinstall, which is what I'm doing  Roll_eyes

Re: Battlefield Heroes - Kicked for high pings

I've just fired it up for 10 minutes and didn't experience any problems (I'm connected on thn-ag1).
The traffic for the web interface and pre-game GUI seems to be in Gold, but all the in-game UDP traffic is showing as Titanium for me (originating IP being 85.236.100.240).
Differentiated Services Field: 0xa0 (DSCP 0x28: Class Selector 5; ECN: 0x00)

Unless I'm overlooking something I can't see any problems with this.

Re: Battlefield Heroes - Kicked for high pings

Well since I've uninstalled/reinstalled it's working fine again
I did run a Wireshark twice again, now it shows the protocol as UDP and the description as
5099 179.341229 89.30.108.244 80.xxx.xxx.xx UDP Source port: 21167  Destination port: jdmn-port
Differentiated Services Field: 0x20 (DSCP 0x08: Class Selector 1; ECN: 0x00)
When I ran it earlier this it didn't show the UDP protocol Huh
I'm connected to pcl-ag02

Edit:
I've connected to pcl-ag03 and now it's on Titanium  Huh
2129 96.102342 85.236.109.15 80.xxx.xxx.xx UDP Source port: 18567  Destination port: oirtgsvc
Differentiated Services Field: 0xa0 (DSCP 0x28: Class Selector 5; ECN: 0x00)
It was laggy it's the server as a few others complained (and I try to avoid ag03 anyway) so I reconnected to pcl-ag02 again and now I get
Differentiated Services Field: 0x40 (DSCP 0x10: Class Selector 2; ECN: 0x00)
I've tested it several times now and I'm unable to get titanium on AG02 atm it's showing Silver and it's terribly laggy. so I'll try reconnecting again.

This time I'm connected to pcl-ag01 and it's also very laggy. I ran another Wireshark and I'm getting
262 13.208101 89.30.108.243 80.xxx.xxx.xx UDP Source port: 20967  Destination port: 4511
Differentiated Services Field: 0x40 (DSCP 0x10: Class Selector 2; ECN: 0x00)
I was just kicked from the server Pukbuster (22) for a high ping.
Rebooted and connected again to pcl-AG01 again and it's still on Silver and ofc kicked again.
There is definitely a problem with the filtering on BF Heroes for AG01 + AG02

Re: Battlefield Heroes - Kicked for high pings

It was working OK before the update and I managed to get connected on titanium again but got kicked, so it's deffo part of their problem as many others are getting the same problem. Before the update it was OK but the filtering is random, just like Veetle, which is having a digital sig written soon.
I can send you my Wireshark captures if you need them?

Re: Battlefield Heroes - Kicked for high pings

It's not being assigned to titanium just random traffic queues.
Even after the latest update it's still lagging out (and it always has), although I'm not getting kicked.
Can we get a working filter made for this please?

Re: Battlefield Heroes - Kicked for high pings

Hiya,
If you fire us a ticket with a Wireshark capture, we'll be able to get this looked at for you.

Re: Battlefield Heroes - Kicked for high pings

Hi James
Thanks for your reply.
I'll raise a ticket with attached Wireshark capture, as it was in Silver on the last run.

Has BFH been released? Or is this a beta?

It's a beta. @tywyn, your ticket is with our Net-Ops guys so all being well they shoujld add it to this weeks batch of traffic management platform amendments (normally scheduled towards the end of the week).

Re: Battlefield Heroes - Kicked for high pings

Hi Bob
Once thing that I am noticing here with BFH (think it was me handing keys to some of you guys that got you into it) but at around 0:00hrs, when the old P2P people start their downloads going, lag spikes like hell and I get kicked pretty frequently.  Normally fine during the day, etc, just at that time.
