For those of you who have pre-loaded BF3 you can actually play it now if you want. I know that as a Eurozone the release date is Friday. However if you do your first connection through a proxy server in Asia or Canada for instance you can connect.
go to your internet settings and click on the connections tab. Once there, look for the LAN settings at the bottom and click on it. Uncheck "Automatically detect settings" and check "Proxy server". Put in the address value 199.185.95.42 port 8080 and click ok. Restart Origin and try again and as long as the proxy is not down you can safely initialise the game. Once the first start is done you can do away with the proxy settings and return to auto.
