Most annoying thing for me is that most of the broken aspects of the game are exactly the same as BF3... then they patch, they fix one thing and break three more. It's not good enough.
I intend to wait before purchasing BF5, to see if the same old problems exist. I hope I stick to that plan. Oh well, Dark Souls 2 on Friday I can forget about this mess for a good few hundred hours, lol.
I find OP Locker to be an awful map, Rongtw. I like infantry, but the choke points and grenade spam is boring. I have the most fun on Zavod when I play infantry.

I couldn't wait, BF4 is off my machine. I just played a few games and the more I played the angrier I got, so I decided to bin it before I fly to EA headquarters and start ripping peoples heads off.  
Oh well, I can always rely on my old favourite, Age of Empires 2.
So has the ranking system been extended or is that just for consoles Wo0x ?  I also need to find a different kind of game as FPS are coming out thick and fast
I played Locker last night Ron and ended up about 50 for 6 on one server, then I go on another and can't hit [Censored], same with Zavod Wo0x, I can be on the roof, and take out snipers behind the tanks with just their head showing with my MG4, but now it is taking me 100 bullets just to kill someone in front of me.
What planet does Jorgensen live on ?  I guess there is no harm in denial, what a tool.

Yeah, cap is 120 on all formats now.
Since launch I've felt like every other player is able to kill me before I've even seen them on my screen. Funnily enough on Zavod last night I was going 10-8 (awful by my own standards) and moaning about lag then, for no apparent reason, it suddenly felt like I had a huge advantage. I was pretty tired so nowhere near my best, but it was easy mode, all the enemies were reacting slowly as if they didn't see me until they were dead. Ended up 56-12.
To add insult to injury EA are now promoting rental servers on consoles. £19.99 for 30 days. This after they said the priority was to fix the game. How long has the game been out, almost 6 months? It's a joke.

Sounds to me with the rental servers that they underestimated how many people would'nt buy premium, and the DLC. So know they have to get some money in.

TBH the main problem with BF4 is due to  a arrangement with Microsoft , grr its made to allow Xbone & Xbox to play the game ,,, consoles basically .
they are restricted to a Tickrate of  10hz so consoles can play , despite being able to increase this rate as in other games , its the amount of times your PC updates to the server

partner plays this he never had much of a problem,few odd bits,but soon fixed,then  played on Pc and he is 52 yr old kid lol

for Pc users  you can try this after each up date it was a fix for something else,but seems to work after there bodged patch win 7 - control panel- internet options-advanced tab -reset
another one is make a user cfg he uses this--- open wordpad copy paste it in save it as user.cfg  then drop into main battlefield 4 folder----------this may help on xbox/ps if you can access game file

I am starting to lean towards PN being a lot to do with the problem. Played Thursday night and was killing anything that moved, then PN gave me 3 peer terminates and I just went on the same server and did absolute shite. So it looks like we are back to the gateways again.
It was a bit better after turning off my router for 5 minutes and switching to this gateway
ptw-ag03.
This is located in Telehouse West.
So now it is a lottery in trying to find the perfect gateway again.

AGREE its definatly a Gateway lottery , you find a good one to play for a few days or hours , then others Hop on to the gateway so you have to switch again .
its a never ending circle of Hop Hop Hop

I thought it was just Battlefield/EA, but now I have another game that has an online mode I can see that isn't the case. Playing Dark Souls 2 I clearly dodge attacks from invading players and yet my health bar still goes down. Or I can see an enemy backing away from me and my character goes down as if he is being back-stabbed, lol.

Well I tried to make it to rank 120 before I uninstalled BF4, but this gateway lottery has me well and truly fucked off. Every time I switch I get a peer terminate which switches me back to the same gateway. BF4 is now uninstalled.
Out of curiosity does BT use gateways ?

Have you reported a fault or anything?  Very unlikely to be the gateways.

i have problems with BF4 but for some strange reason Gateway hopping helps 
we have been through this before , with several posts but never get anywhere .
just best to leave as is and just Hop and hope get a better connection

tonite was a classic example on ptw-ag02. game was fine untill 22.15 then started rubberbanding 
now on pcl-ag02. and its ok again

Did you disconnect and reconnect, or just reboot your router?
