BC2 ping

this is now getting annoying 
the past few weeks it has become realy bad , i get massive ping spikes while playing BC2 sometimes i get regular kicks off server for a ping of over 400.
have done several speed tests and my ping is always starting around 56ms from around 50 miles away.
i have no more than necessary win7 process running & no unwanted autoruns starting no malware/virus detected & its not any particular time of day.
have done every test i can think off but cannot find anyting on my PC to cause it , so it must be PN line quality , & yes i have port forward the game
any ideas ?

Get the server IP and trace it, only way you will know if its PNs network or beyond it..

cheers gus, but the game servers dont list their IP, but i tend to be on UK or EU servers they only have names. but like i say my start ping on speed test.net starts at 56ms where as before with BT it was only 18-25ms.
am at a loss even PN,s tickets are pooh posted a question 3 days ago and still not had a reply !
restarted me router but still the same , and this is the second one they sent me
