Assign a game or application to a local network device - Problem

Hello slight problem on my
Technicolor TG582n FTTC, I have assigned xbox live to a device (my xbox) under Assigned Games & Applications ,
but every now and again it switches the device (xbox) to another device , say a laptop. How can I stop this happening  ? is this a known problem ?
I can always switch back of course, but it happens randomly , and upsets the kids trying to connect to minecraft xbox live games....
thanks

Re: Assign a game or application to a local network device - Problem

Ensure all devices obtain their IP address via DHCP.
In the router - set the xbox to always use the same IP address.
This should stop the port forward from switching device.
But try without setting a port forward rule for the xbox, just ensure UPnP is enabled. The router has a ALG helper ( CONE(UDP) ) which should allow UPnP to open the necessary ports for the xbox and PS3.
