A lot of routing changes were made this morning (https://stat.ripe.net/216.98.48.0/20#tabId=routing) - most traffic now seems to go through Tinet which look like it has caused quite a big increase in latency:

Andy, which Ubi ip is that BQM pinging ? Just that for over a week i have been connecting to ubisoft routed via Paris which adds 5-6ms latency compared to what a direct route would offer , which would provide the same latency as what i had previously with AS6453.net before they changed their route to go via Chicago of 89-90ms
So it's nearly 5 mths on since i started this topic and despite several Plusnet staff indicating that they were looking into it, going to de-pref the the path with level 3 so traffic would route via tinet , no changes have been made, they seem to be ignoring this topic again judging by lack of action or input since on 25 March 2014, 17:17:35

I guess this is the doing us proud bit then ?? I would ask when this change is going to be made, but i have already done so, answer was basically how long is a piece of string , So i won't bother asking again no point , all they do at the most is reply act bothered and then forget to do anything , hoping we will give up or forget too, Or is this approach a way to shed some customers ,because you now have more than you can comfortably cope with perhaps?

That one is to 216.98.57.134 but all three I have got running look identical.
If you're routed via the Tinet lon10 core router (all traffic seems to be going through there for Ubisoft from London), then you'll have higher latency that you do now. I am 100% sure of this.
The traffic is taking a different route back (not sure how I can check the exact route):

I'm not sure what Plusnet have tried so far - but Ubisoft's peers and the routing their peers use has absolutely nothing to do with Plusnet.

Plusnet as far as i'm aware haven't tried anything like they said they would, and whilst they may not get a say in which peering provider ubisoft use, They like any other ISP should have a choice of which out of the 2 available choices of peering provider they peer with, or they would if they peered directly with the likes of tinet , having a 3rd party make that decision doesn't always help , as level don't care that it's traffic to a gaming server they are routing So it doesn't get the priority or take the shortest route from them to tinet(Going via Paris adding more latency and the possibility of a more congested route) and sometimes A6453.net
