RE: running a mud on my machine

ok well it appears that it is indeed a adsl problem.

if i connect using my dial up - other ppl can connect to the mud happily.

so what is it i have to do wif my adsl for that to accept ppl connecting to my port 4000 ?

thanks

RE: running a mud on my machine

Hi,

I'm not a expert or anything ... but, if you are running ADSL through a router, it mught have automatic firewall built in (my Speedtouch 510v4, did). You might have to open port 4000 (if that is the only one you want to use) and for that you'd need to look up help pages for your router.

Otherwise, i'm as clueless as you :| ... but, good luck.
