I NEED TO GET XBOX LIVE CONNECTED UP!!!!!!

due to me being one of the biggest xbox fans in the world. i decided to go and buy xbox live as i was on force 9 anyway which is a broadband connection. i tryed to connect it up and it just wouldn't go. so my dad took the wires to the computer specialists at hiw work they said they were going to try and do somethin to help, guess what there still tryin, im not bein rude or anything to the force 9 helpers, workers or any other person that works at f9 but im just really desperate to set this up and be on my way to heaven (anybody who has seen games being played on xbox live would understand). and so , i just want to ask if there is any othe solution seeming as i cannot get it into the back of the modem. mabey something else avoiding me paying over £30 for like a router or somethig like that. I have been told that i cant have a ethernet cable over 10 metres in legnth so plz f9 help me with solutions or any other person that has managed to set it up using f9 (tell me how to please). :x :x Cry Cry

I NEED TO GET XBOX LIVE CONNECTED UP!!!!!!

Hi ok I have not got f9 yet hopefully by wednesday so I will have a go then untill then would you mind answering a few questions for me.

1. How do you connect your xbox toyour broadband connection (through a computer / router /direct to modem

2. Are you using wireless

These were inital concerns for me when I set up xbox live but that was with pipex, I am now hoping that this is only a relativly small problem and easy to solve problem as otherwise I may have to cancel my f9 account if I can't get live working :x

Get a router which has:

A DHCP server and can do DNS forwarding

Set up a dhcp scope for your internal clients with all the relevant information for the IP stack in there, and then just plug the xbox live in there and away you go.
