Eve Online

Good Morning Dave,
Thanks for the reply.

When playing the game on his main PC he also has a small notebook running via wireless to keep his MSN connection alive so he can chat and play. Sometimes when the game disconnects he also notices the MSN will drop and re-login, but not always.

This weekend we are going to put a modem monitor program on his notebook to log what the router is doing so we can get a better idea of what is going on.

At least you have confirmed the Ellacoya’s are set up for Eve so that cheered him up a bit. It’s no big deal, we will just monitor the situation and if we find anything will report back.

Regards, Colin

Eve Online

My Son plays an online game called ‘Eve Online’ but he is suffering from random disconnects. Are the Ellacoya’s set for this game and can anyone else suggest any reasons for the constant disconnections?

The Linksys modem/router is always synched with the exchange and we seem connected to F9 fine so don’t think the problem is connection related. We have just had BT correct a voice fault and the line is clear, current synch is 4800 downstream at 4 to 10 db SNR and downloads etc seem fine.

Regards, Colin.

Eve Online

Hi,

Eve Online definately has a rule set up and should be picked up fine as gaming. Do you notice anything else that has a problem? When the game disconnects does it give any indication why, or do you notice an increase in ping time or anything else that may help in spotting what's causing it?
