so do we think that the tg585v7 is pants at wireless?
i'm fiding it has half speed of LAN connection
also when rebooting takes a log time to reconnect to internet

Yes - it usually takes a couple of attempts to pick up broadband after a reboot.  As to wireless speed, I don't really know.

i should say that apart from this I am very happy with FTTC seems much smoother setup than adsl2+ adsl2 was
just the router is bad and not happy aout having 2 boxes now ( not very green )

Yeah, the router is pants at wireless, as i posted before........ 37Meg wired but only 11Meg wireless.

Strange thing was tho, it said i was connected at 54Mbps which is ample to provide the full 37Meg.
Went out and got a Netgear router and it was fine, got the full speed i was expecting.

Ref this post and depending on how the router is configured and the type of download then that that could be pretty close to the theoretical max anyway.

Sorry Badwolf - I think you may have misunderstood.  The 37meg that the OP referred to was using a network cable - via wireless, he was only getting 11.

Yes my bad - even so 11meg for wireless-G is still acceptable. You will never get full 54meg.
Trouble with these fibre trials is wireless routers are the Achilles heel Wink
