is FTTP on Demand still avalible

Is this still open for signup's ?
The cabinet close to my property is available for FTTP on Demand service but carnt find and information about it.
Over the past few month's i have noticed a dramatic drop in speeds to the FTTC service around 20MB on the down side and 3MB in up.
(was 74MB down and 20MB up now 56 up and 17MB up any time of day or night).
I'm only wanting answers i have checked

What about the reduction in speeds on FTTC any idea why this is happening it will soon be worth me downgrading to 38mb  and saving money.

I've not heard anything about the FTTP so I can't answer that I'm afraid. We'd like to look at the speeds on the current product though to see if anything can be done.

If you're worried about saving money I suspect you might find FTTP on demand a bit expensive.
The cheapest FTTPoD I've seen anywhere has a cap on it and is 6 times the price of your Plusnet unlimited 80Mb + line rental.
Over £200 a month. Ouchy.

You'd also need a Biz account (though of course this is all hypothetical).

Don't forget FTTPoD will also charged for installation fee (could be anything from £0 to £3,000 exc VAT) depend on Band

And it's also subject to a minimum 36 month contract.

Simplest solution (and most cost effective one) is to get another FTTC line and bond the two lines together.

But it will end up two openreach modems, two plusnet routers (need 4 main sockets) and two telephone lines but how on earth to get line bonding together? U need a special router (load balance bonding)?

I know its a bit late, but, i think my Asus router has the facility for two WAN connections.
Not sure how it works though.

Interestingly I've had EXACTLY the same experience, Speeds of 72 dropped to 54 (and sometimes as low as 24!) Also it's only been over the past 6 months... Engineer coming back next week so we'll see. I just find your figures so similar, and also thought that maybe FTTP was a possible answer. My upload is still roughly the same as it was.
Oh, and I'm in a completely different area, NE22 - Cabinet 6.

I hope the engineer comes out and fixes things for you. As a general rule, FTTP is unavailable if FTTC is available.
