Hello.
I have just got my router today for my FTTP (trial).
we have set it up . we have the xbox connected by cable. our pcs and tablets are all wi fi.
after about 30 mins all of the wi fi equipment connected ok.
all are working, but I have questions.
I have tested the down load and up load speeds and got some confusing results.
with laptop wired into router the best I got was 4.00Mb down load, 20Mb upload, disconect wire and go wireless and 3.ooMb down and 15Mb up.
My PC (new icore 7 )wireless FTTP, 1.85 Mb down, 3.89 up, using old landline wireless router 4,85 down and 0.38 up
other pcs seem to read the same.
so my question is simple. How do I get the megga fast download speed that is supposed to come with fibre. because at the moment it is a heck of a lot slower than the copper .
are there other things to be done at Plusnets end or is this it, or have I missed something.
Any replys welcome please
Adrian.

Looks like the account just needs updating to the fibre package as it's still showing ADSL (20CN) which is currently restricting the speeds.
Leave this with me and I'll get it updated for you shortly.
EDIT: You should be getting fibre speeds now, however you may need to disconnect/reconnect your router for this to take effect.

hi.
thanks for the replies.
checked when I got home.
my sons pc wireless is 38 down and 20 up, excellent news.
tablet and phone s etc are same.
old xp 12 year old laptop wireless showing 25 down and 15 up.
my icore 7 however , pc wireless is still showing 1.0 down and 0.5 up.
I guess i need to look at my pc. might try a different dongle etc.
thanks again.
Adrian.
