As connecting to the hub directly hadn't yielded any results I'm back on the Mesh now. Looked at the settings for the Mesh it's set to DHCP not PPPoE is that my issue? PPPoE seems to requires me to create a Username and password and I get a warning to the effect it may screw things up when I start to do so. Is it worth a punt or should I leave it?
I'm right on the limit of my very basic technical knowledge here so please be gentle lol.
WiFi calling is definitely on btw.

Basically, what Dan is suggesting is to enter your Plusnet username and password in the mesh PPPoE settings, and connect the mesh directly to the ONT. The Hub2 isn't needed as it isn't adding anything other than the PPPoE connection - which the mesh can do itself.
At the least it will save a little electricity!
Edit: having looked at the Tenda mesh specs online, it appears to only have a 100Mbps ethernet port - how fast is your FTTP?
Edit2: Ah, I see there are more variants - some do have 1Gbps ethernet so you may be OK (depending on your model)

@Smack from my limited knowledge, if you take the Hub out of the equation, and set up the Tenda as PPOE using your PN credentials, you should be OK - I don't know what the 'warnings' are.
Also, I don't know what Apple told you to do, but try disabling/re-enabling Wi-Fi calling on the phone - if that doesn't work, try rebooting the phone - making sure Wi-Fi calling is enabled before you do.

The warning I get is...
'Internet connection is normal. Modifying the settings may cause disconnection'
I've done everything you suggest to my phone settings.... many times.

It may - or it may not.

I think that message is because it is still connected via the Hub? If you move the ethernet to the ONT it may not give that warning (as it won't then be connected to the internet until you set up PPPoE)..
In the worst case you can just delete the PPPoE setting and get back to where you were - it won't cause any damage.

Ok tried it but I'm back on DHCP. I lost my internet.
I used the instructions here...
https://www.plus.net/help/broadband/broadband-connection-settings/
Will have another go tomorrow.
I still can't get past the fact that everything worked beautifully with the all of the existing settings before transferring to full fibre so what has changed?

I, personally, still think it is something on your phone that has perhaps coincidently happened, if all other devices are working correctly. Have you tried my suggestions about the phone?

The link you posted, follow the instructions in this section
"What settings should I use for a fibre router that's connected to a BT Openreach modem?"
The fibre ONT can be seen as a Openreach modem
With the mesh system set to DHCP you are definitely using double NAT which does causes issues.
Before you change the mesh router to PPoE I suggest connecting its WAN port to the ONT before you start.

Ok I now understand, the penny just dropped I was still connecting through the Hub2 rather than straight into the ONT which is pretty stupid of me now I think about it 🤪. I’ll have another go in the morning and keep my fingers crossed.
If @Dan_the_Van s solution doesn’t I’m pretty sure of my phone settings but I’m now suspecting the actual phone itself. I can test this by putting my sim in my wife’s phone and seeing if Wi-Fi calling activates.
Thank you both again.

An update...
@Dan_the_Van and @jab1
This morning I connected my Mesh system directly to the ONT as suggested. It worked immediately but still no Wi-Fi calling. Feeling a little disgruntled I headed out and found myself in Lidl of all places. I suddenly had the idea of connecting to their Wi-Fi, guess what - Wi-Fi calling activated almost instantly. When back home I went round to my neighbour and borrowed his Wi-Fi password I connected to his Wi-Fi through the wall and hey presto instant Wi-Fi calling activation. For the record he's using a BT Hub 2 but is on regular (non FTTP) broadband. I'm beginning to wish I was back on it too, I have to confess!
So I would say with 100% certainly this is an Openreach issue not my phone or router setup.
I'm just going to have one last reboot, including the ONT too this time and see if some miracle happens, then, assuming I can get a phone signal, it'll be time to contact support.

It does begin to sound like your connection, @Smack - but what is wrong is beyond me. ☹️

Yep I agree it's crazy.
Anyway I've reconnected everything exactly as it was before this happened ie the last configuration that actually worked and I'm going to call support in a few minutes.

If I was you for now I would enable the Hub Two wireless and use that, plusnet support will not support 3rd party devices.
One last thought have you rebooted the ONT at any stage?
