Set me straight - Full Fibre Speeds

Any reason the downstream and upstream on my Hub 2 are reporting 1000 Mbps? It did this when I was on a 300 connection and still does it on a 500 connection.

My speeds are fine, just curious why it isn't reporting correctly.

Cheers

Fix
Hi @ khaled35
The 1000 Mbps is the ethernet link connection rate between the router and the ONT.
Behind the scenes, the FTTP optical link speeds are higher I think 2400 Mbps for the downstream.
Openreach cap each users throuhput speeds to the contracted value, in your case 300Mbps.

Re: Set me straight - Full Fibre Speeds

@khaled35 the router is reporting the speed of the ethernet connection to the ONT. This will always be 1000Mb, provided they are connected with a cat5e or better cable, as both the router and ONT have gigabit capable interfaces. The router does not know the provisioned speed of your connection in the Openreach network.
