Plusnet Full Fibre and phone query

Basically about 2 years ago. I tried getting Plusnet full fibre installed to my house, but Openreach couldn't thread the cabling through because of a broken duct. I had to transfer the BT phone line my parents had (separately) over to me.
Anyway 2 years later, Openreach has managed to fix the ducting and have managed to thread the fibre through. Now I understand Plusnet don't offer a phone line with their full fibre service. So I rang them up today just to confirm this, and see if they could do anything for me. It turns out Plusnet can transfer me over to EE free of charge, and not charge me an early termination fee (recently signed a new 18-month contract). I just wanted to make sure this is correct before I proceed with this (and don't have to pay hundreds of pounds to terminate my contract).
Many thanks

Yes, it's correct. If you wish to have a digital phone service with FTTP, then Plusnet will offer to transfer you to EE without incurring ETCs. You must arrange the transfer through Plusnet though, so your account is marked as not incurring etc.

It is true - PN have been transferrring customers FOC for a while. You just have to organize it through PN. You should note the phone service will be provided by VOIP (BT have their own version called Digital Voice).
This is the easiest way to move to VOIP but I believe BT / EE are not the cheapest.
You could stay with PN and "port" your phone number to an independant VOIP provider immediately after Full Fibre is up and running. This is probably cheaper but there are upfront costs invloved in ensuring your phone works with the digital signal. The PN Hub2 phone port is not active so you probably need an ATA (Analogue Phone Adapter)

May seem like a daft question, but I assume the landline number will stay the same if I transfer over to EE.

I presume you would lose any plusnet email addresses in such a move?
